Chapter 4 · The Walls of DisguardianCircle VIIBeing built
The Minotaur
The infamy of Crete, planted at the head of the landslide down into the seventh circle.

«L’infamia di Creti» (XII, 12). Non ragiona e non parla: quando si infuria si morde da solo, e mentre si morde non guarda. Il passaggio in fondo alla frana è tappato, e a sfondarlo può essere solo lui.
Revealshow the fight on the Minotaur’s landslide is built.
In canto XII he stands on the lip of the ruin and, the moment he sees the two of them, bites himself out of rage; then he starts leaping like a bull that has taken the blow and no longer knows where to go. The game has him do exactly that, and he does not know where you are: he charges down the slide up the trace a living body leaves, and whatever ends up underneath him he takes by contact.
He is not a boss with a bar. Whatever he hits collapses, so the ground changes while you are dodging and the slide itself becomes the danger; and the foot of the ruin is plugged by three boulders, only one of them cracked right through, which the lamp will show you. Picking the wrong one is not free: the slide breaks up again and the gap narrows.
The floor of the ramp is loose stone that shifts under weight, because Dante is alive: down there a body had never been. One thing is left open, and the code says so: the ruin is the only road between the city and the rings and it is climbed back up, but whoever comes back finds him waiting with the rage gone, and how you get past on the way up is not solved. Frame him and the game says: he neither reasons nor speaks, when the fury takes him he bites himself, and while he bites he is not looking; the way out at the foot of the slide is plugged, and only he can break it open.
